our CAUSES
We are rowing to raise awareness and funds for six charities that represent strength, care and determination. Each of our chosen charities supports people facing life-changing challenges. From neurological disease and serious injury to the complex transitions faced by veterans, these causes reflect who we are as a team and why we are rowing the Atlantic.
The Clocktower Foundation
helps veterans rediscover purpose and community after military service
The Clocktower Foundation supports British Armed Forces veterans as they transition to civilian life. By funding grassroots projects and community-based initiatives, the foundation helps veterans rebuild confidence, find new purpose and connect with others who understand the journey. Whether through sport, social projects or personal development, their work makes a lasting difference in the lives of those who have served.
Matt Hampson Foundation
empowers young people seriously injured through sport to rebuild their futures
The Matt Hampson Foundation inspires and supports young people seriously injured through sport. Through expert physiotherapy, specialist personal training, support, mentoring and advice, the Foundation helps people with life-changing injuries to get busy living again.
Cure Parkinson’s
drives ground-breaking research to slow, stop and ultimately reverse Parkinson’s
Cure Parkinson’s is dedicated to funding research that aims to slow, stop and ultimately reverse Parkinson’s disease. Through initiatives like the International Linked Clinical Trials programme, the charity identifies and prioritises promising treatments for clinical testing. Their mission is to accelerate the development of therapies that can change the lives of those living with Parkinson’s, moving us closer to a cure.
My Name’5 Doddie Foundation

The My Name’5 Doddie Foundation is dedicated to funding research to find effective treatments and ultimately a cure for motor neuron disease (MND). Established in 2017 by Scottish rugby legend Doddie Weir following his own MND diagnosis, the foundation has committed over £18 million to support more than 40 research projects. Their mission is to catalyse a cure for MND by investing in the most promising scientific developments and supporting individuals and families affected by the disease.
SHIPLAKE C.E PRIMARY SCHOOL
To lead, develop, inspire & educate our young community.
The School has high expectations of what pupils can achieve. Leaders, teachers and support staff help pupils do well academically and personally. The staff and pupils are proud of the ‘four pillars’ of learning, innovation, community and faith. They are at the heart of the school’s work. Staff work with pupils to use the ‘pillars’ in a meaningful way in their daily lives.
Helping to give kids the best start in life through better resources, opportunities, and support.
Great ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL CHARITY
We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer.
For the hundreds of children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day. For children with rare or complex diseases everywhere. For this generation and all those to come. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness. Great Ormond Street Hospital first opened its doors on Valentine’s Day in 1852 with just 10 beds. Now, it’s one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals and home to vital advancements in paediatric medicine and care. Together, we can give seriously ill children the best chance, and the best childhood, possible.
